Jacobsen, Goods, Kaeo and McArthur take home weekly honors for their performances last week. 

DII Women's Basketball

Simone Goods - Kirkwood – Center – Sophomore

Simone Goods led the way for Kirkwood this week as they continued their undefeated season, now 30-0. Goods averaged 25.5 points per game, 11 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks. She shot 67% from the field and was 15-20 from the charity stripe. Goods is currently leading her first ranked Eagles in points and rebounds, and is ranked first in the NJCAA in field goal percentage. This is her fourth ICCAC Athlete of the Week honor this season.

 

DII Baseball - Player

General McArthur - Kirkwood - Centerfield – Sophomore

General McArthur's hot bat played a big part in Kirkwood's four game sweep against Lewis and Clark. McArthur batted 8 of14 in those four games including two doubles and two home runs. McArthur totaled seven RBIs and scored eight runs. McArthur is now hitting .393 with two home runs, seven RBIs, 11 runs and four stolen bases on the young season.

 

DII Softball - Player

Shayla Kaeo – Iowa Central - Shortstop – Freshman

Kama Kaeo batted .588 with 15 RBIs this week, helping Iowa Central go a perfect 5-0. Kaeo recorded four doubles, one triple, and two home runs in those five games. Kaeo is currently leading her 8-4 Tritons in RBIs and doubles. She is ranked seventh in the nation in RBIs with 22. Iowa Central was ranked 18th to start the season and is now 8-4.

 

DII Softball - Pitcher

Molly Jacobsen - DMACC - LHP – Freshman

Molly Jacobsen was dominant in two starts this weekend. She struck out 27 batters in 12 innings and recorded a one hitter in both games. On the season, Jacobsen is 4-1 with 45 strikeouts and a .78 ERA in 27 innings played. She is currently first in the nation with four shutouts and second in the nation with 12.96 strikeouts per game. DMACC is 10-1 to date and ranked 6th in the country.
