Two Division I ICCAC softball student-athletes were recognized in 2017 as NJCAA All-Americans on Tuesday. Marshalltown's freshman center fielder Shaena Robinson was selected as a 2nd Team All-American as she shined in her first season of NJCAA play, especially at the plate. The Gardnerville, Nev. native led the conference in numerous hitting categories, including home runs (16), and all three slash line numbers which include batting average (.493), on-base percentage (.551) and slugging percentage (.971).

In the three decimal categories, she ranked in the top 20 in each among all Division I NJCAA softball players. The Tigers finished with an overall record of 23-19.

Indian Hills' Shyanne DuBois, the 2017 ICCAC Division I Softball Player of the Year was recognized as a 3rd Team NJCAA All-American. At her shortstop position, she excelled in the field and at the plate as an all-around player. As the best player on the World Series qualifying Warriors, DuBois also belted 16 homers, and was the league leader in doubles (19), stolen bases (28) and total bases (140). She finished in top 5 in the ICCAC in runs (56), hits (71) and slugging percentage (814).

The Warriors found themselves in their second straight World Series after winning in walk-off fashion in the District J Tournament over Crowder College in the 11th inning. Indian Hills finished with a record of 31-15.
