Iowa Western Crowned Midwest District Champions, Davidson Claims Individual Title
MARYVILLE, Mo. — The Iowa Western Women's Golf team emerged as the 2025 NJCAA Division I Midwest District Champions after a dominant performance at Lake Mozingo Golf Course in Maryville, Mo. The Reivers posted a two-round team total of +58 (RD1: +29, RD2: +29), finishing comfortably ahead of Indian Hills at +96 (RD1: +48, RD2: +48).
Leading the charge for Iowa Western was Rylin Davidson, who claimed the individual championship with rounds of even par and +7 for a +7 total, topping a leaderboard stacked with her teammates. Davidson was followed by fellow Reivers Jennifer Cho (+15), Beatriz Pinheiro (+17), and Lauren Brown (+19), giving Iowa Western a sweep of the top four individual spots.
Indian Hills was led by Joska Nelis (+20) and Sofia Saavedra (+23), who placed fifth and tied for sixth, respectively. The Warriors held on to second place in the team standings and, along with Iowa Western, earned qualification for the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
Also finishing in the top 10 individually were Olivia Holyoak-Church (Iowa Western), Kate Braden (Metropolitan (Mo.)), Poppy Norcott (Indian Hills), and Veronica Rodriguez (Indian Hills).
