Former NIACC wrestler Albert White beat Iowa's NIck Moore 7-4 to help No. 2 Oklahoma State end No.1 Iowa's 84-dual meet win streak on Sunday night.
Despite being tied at 16 after all match had been completed, Oklahoma State beat the Hawkeyes 17-16 based on aggregate scoring during the matches (54-51). The win prevented Iowa from breaking the 84-dual win streak mark set by Oklahoma State from 1959 to1966.
White, a senior at Oklahoma State, is ranked 12th in the NCAA at 157. He redshirted his first year at NIACC in 2007, and went on to win the NJCAA National Championship in 2008 in the 149 class as a Trojan. He compiled a 31-3 record as a Trojan, and earned the NJCAA Kaye Young Champion of Character Award in 2008.
White has a 17-3 record so far this season and a 37-6 record in his Cowboy career. A short highlight video of White's win over Moore is linked below.
