Women's Basketball Offensive Athlete of the Week

 

 

 

 

 

 

Miliakere Koyamainavure

Sophomore

Iowa Central Community College

 

Iowa Central extended their winning streak to 7 this past weekend; with the offensive dominance by sophomore guard Miliakere Koyamainavure. Koyamainavure had 20 points and 21 rebounds against Lake Region State College. 11 of those rebounds came on the offensive side for the Tritons. Koyamainavure also had 2 assists and 3 steals in the game. On the season, Koyamainavure is averaging 15.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Carlee Schuhmacher

Sophomore

Des Moines Area Community College

 

Sophomore center Carlee Schuhmacher is not only a threat on the offensive side for the DMACC Bears, but on the defensive side as well. Last weekend in the win against Midland University JV, Schuhmacher had 28 points along with 13 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 5 blocks. Schuhmacher went 8 for 15 on field goals, 1 for 1 on three pointers, and 11 for 12 on free throws. On the season, Schuhmacher leads the NJCAA in blocks with 55 and overall points at 296.
