Farina Lands 2025 Gold Glove Honors
Southeastern's Michael Farina was named a 2025 NJCAA Division II Gold Glove recipient after helping lead the Blackhawks to a historic defensive season. The team set a new national record with a .979 fielding percentage, the highest ever recorded in NJCAA history.
Presented by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and Rawlings, the Gold Glove honors only 27 players across the NJCAA—nine from each division. Farina earned his recognition at third base with a .963 fielding percentage.
Farina, who was also named a First Team All-American, appeared in 64 games and handled 218 total chances at the hot corner. He recorded 64 putouts and 146 assists, committing just eight errors all season as Southeastern came within reach of the World Series semifinals.
This marks the fourth-straight season that a Southeastern player has received a Gold Glove award, bringing the program's total to six recipients over that span.
