Eleven ICCAC Baseball Players Selected to All-American Lists
The NJCAA announced its 2026 Baseball All-Americans on Wednesday. In total, eleven players across two divisions earned All-American honors in recognition of their outstanding performances this season.
In Division I, Iowa Western earned two All-American selections after competing in the Midwest District Championship. Leading the way for the Reivers was infielder Justin Rompré, who earned Second Team All-American honors. Rompré led the NJCAA with 10 sacrifice flies and paced Iowa Western with a .430 batting average. He also totaled 19 home runs, 23 doubles and 94 RBIs, ranking 11th nationally in RBIs. Rompré's All-American selection adds to his ICCAC Player of the Year honor.
Joining Rompré on the All-American list was teammate Brynner Waioloma, who earned Third Team All-American honors after being named ICCAC Pitcher of the Year. Waioloma recorded seven saves, tied for the eighth-most in the NJCAA, while pitching 33.2 innings and striking out 43 batters. He finished the season with a 2.67 ERA and a 0.89 WHIP while averaging 11.5 strikeouts per nine innings.
In Division II, seven players from five ICCAC institutions earned All-American honors.
Iowa Central's George McIntyre headlined the group, earning First Team All-American honors to add to his ICCAC Player of the Year and ICCAC Student Athlete of the Year awards. McIntyre was one of the top players in the NJCAA this season, leading the nation in four categories: runs scored (136), walks (69), total bases (228) and home runs (32). He also ranked second nationally in hits (110), slugging percentage (1.009) and on-base percentage (.621).
Joining McIntyre on the First Team was teammate Sawyer Stein. Stein led the NJCAA with 113 RBIs while batting .456 in 2026. He also ranked second nationally in runs scored (101), home runs (30) and total bases (222). One of Stein's signature moments came in the NJCAA World Series, when he delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth inning against Frederick (Md.) in an elimination game.
Kirkwood catcher Ty Andrews earned Second Team All-American honors after batting .414 with 59 RBIs and 15 home runs. Andrews also posted a .829 slugging percentage, ranking among the top 25 in the NJCAA. Behind the plate, he recorded 276 putouts and 17 assists in 299 total chances.
Brady Fitzpatrick of Northeast also earned Second Team All-American honors. In 200 at-bats, Fitzpatrick hit .420 with 60 RBIs and 22 doubles. He also scored 79 runs, ranking 15th in the NJCAA. One of his top performances came April 22 against Iowa Lakes, when he drove in six runs, scored four times and hit two home runs while going 4-for-4 at the plate.
DMACC outfielder Drew Owen earned a Second Team All-American selection after batting .424 and recording 86 hits, the 14th-most in the NJCAA this season. Owen added 20 doubles, 10 home runs, 63 RBIs and 75 runs scored while compiling 144 total bases.
The third Iowa Central player to earn All-American recognition was starting pitcher Isaiah Brennan. After being named ICCAC Pitcher of the Year, Brennan added Second Team All-American honors following a season in which he collected eight wins in 19 appearances. Brennan struck out 91 batters and averaged 12.73 strikeouts per nine innings. Over 64-plus innings, he limited opponents to a .244 batting average.
Kirkwood had two more join via Honorable Mention selections.
Shortstop Brady Blake earned All-American honors after a standout sophomore season. Blake batted .429 with 14 home runs, 75 RBIs and 77 runs scored. He ranked among the top 25 players nationally in runs scored, walks (49), RBIs and on-base percentage (.553).
Reliever Reid Burkle also earned All-American recognition in the first year relief pitchers were included on the NJCAA All-American teams. Burkle appeared in 17 games, all out of the bullpen, posting a 1.82 ERA across 29.2 innings. He recorded four wins, three saves and struck out 42 batters while averaging 12.9 strikeouts per nine innings.
Southeastern's Isaac Flamino rounded out the ICCAC All-American selections. The left-handed starter posted an 8-0 record in 12 appearances and pitched more than 60 innings during the 2026 season. Flamino held opponents to a .256 batting average while recording 72 strikeouts.
