Anderson Wins Division II Men's Golf Player of the Year Honors; All-Region Announced

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference has announced its 2024-25 All-Region selections for NJCAA Division II Men's Golf, recognizing individual and team excellence from throughout the season. The All-Region Teams were determined by a player's finish at the district tournament -- the top 15 players -- while the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year were determined based on season-long performance as voted by the coaches.

Hawkeye sophomore Kaeden Anderson was named ICCAC Player of the Year after a consistent season that included 35 rounds and an adjusted scoring average of 73.6. Anderson finished with six individual wins and 12 top-three finishes across 18 stroke play events. He placed third at the North Central District Championship, powered by a 6-under 66 in his final round, and was ranked No. 3 in the region and No. 27 nationally in NJCAA Division II. His results included first-place finishes at the Eagle Fall Classic, RedTail Fall Classic, NIACC Fall Invitational, RedTail Spring Shootout, and Waterloo Intercollegiate. Overall he placed in the top 3 at 12 of the 18 events he participated in on the season.

Joining Anderson on the All-Region First Team are Quinn Tinkler of Kirkwood, and Northeast's Tyler Baumchen, Bryson Parker, and Luke Bonser. Each player delivered strong performances throughout the season and played key roles for their respective teams at the district level.

Coach of the Year honors went to Ty Heimes of Northeast. Under Heimes' leadership, Northeast finished as the runner-up at the North Central District Tournament and ended the season ranked No. 9 nationally in NJCAA Division II—the second-highest ranking among ICCAC programs, behind Kirkwood.
