2026 NJCAA Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship Results
TOPEKA, Kan. — Iowa Central narrowly missed out on a national title, finishing third just three points behind the champion, and earned one individual national title. Iowa Western placed sixth, while Indian Hills rounded out the top 10 teams.
The Reivers led the way and had three individuals reach the top of the podium at the 2026 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Starting with Pierre Carlier, who saved his best for last, Carlier set a personal record in the 1,000 Meters with a time of 2:24.40 to claim gold by 0.45 seconds.
After bursting onto the scene at the Region 11 Championship, Rajay Hemmings carried that momentum forward with a first-place finish in the Shot Put. His throw of 17.78 meters earned him a national title.
Rounding out Iowa Western's champions was Lebon Attoungbre, who won the Triple Jump with a leap of 16.02 meters. The victory was a major moment for Attoungbre, who improved on his runner-up finish in the same event last season.
For Iowa Central, Haydn Stockdale delivered an expected victory in the Weight Throw after a dominant indoor season in which he led the NJCAA in the event since January. He outdid himself at the indoor national meet with a personal-best throw of 19.42 meters, remaining the only NJCAA athlete to eclipse the 19-meter mark this season.
Indian Hills also claimed a national title in the 4x800 Meter Relay with a time of 7:28.52. The team consisted of Evan Beeler, Brian Kiprop, Kohlby Newsom and Jaquan Coke.
In all, the ICCAC produced 16 All-American performances, with five resulting in national titles. Three of those five came from Iowa Western, while Iowa Central turned in the best team finish among conference schools and added one individual national champion.
