Division I Softball Standouts Earn All-Region Honors
The 2026 Region 11 Division I Softball All-Region lists were announced Tuesday. The honorees and special award winners represent some of the best performers in the conference this season.
Leading off the list is Player of the Year Taylin Tabor of Iowa Western. In her freshman campaign, Tabor, heading into the national tournament, tops the ICCAC in all games in runs (81), hits (90), triples (7), stolen bases (51), batting average (.504) and on-base percentage (.575). In the NJCAA, Tabor is sixth in stolen bases and 12th in batting average. She broke the Reivers single season stole base record, passing Moira Baxters record of 48 set in 2024. Tabor became the first freshman to win ICCAC Player of the Year since 2022 (Destiny Lewis, Indian Hills).
Saydee Plummer takes home Pitcher of the Year honors after a strong year on the mound. With a 2.30 ERA this season, Plummer is second in the conference while also posting a 1.15 WHIP. With 7.23 strikeouts per game and 23 wins this season, Plummer has also posted three shutouts and nine complete games in 149 innings. This season, Plummer is tied for sixth in the NJCAA in wins.
Joining her Reiver teammates, Kennedy Borud earns the Offensive Player of the Year special award. Borud was a dangerous matchup for pitchers this season, leading the ICCAC in home runs (24), RBIs (89), total bases (168) and slugging percentage (1.018). She also was second in multiple categories with runs (76), hits (76), walks (32), batting average (.461) and on-base percentage (.550). Within the NJCAA, Borud is in the top five in slugging percentage, home runs and RBIs.
Defensive Player of the Year went to Southeastern's Logan Kelley, who locked down the infield. In 50 games played this season, Kelley had 207 chances, 147 putouts and 38 assists. The freshman was a commanding presence, with many opportunities in games sent her way. Kelley had an outstanding bat as well -- she hit 20 home runs with 62 RBIs, while hitting .434 and slugging .909.
For the second time, coach Heidi Jordan took home the ICCAC Coach of the Year award. The Reivers have had an incredible season, going 49-6 with only two conference losses. Iowa Western won their second Region 11 title in the last three years. They currently have a top-five offense in the NJCAA, with the third-best team slugging percentage (.684), fourth-best batting average (.392) and sixth-best on-base percentage (.474).
Three other Reivers made the First Team All-Region list. Outfielders Keinlee Rinacke and Harlee Fowler were placed on the first team. Rinacke was strong at the plate and on defense, posting a perfect fielding percentage in 50 chances while also scoring 45 runs with 18 stolen bases. Fowler had an impressive .464 batting average and batted in 26 runs with a .519 on-base percentage.
Infielder Ruclaireth Tovar Rodríguez rounds out the Reivers' First Team selections. Rodríguez was one of the team's top batters with the second-most RBIs in the conference at 64 while batting exactly .400.
Southeastern had four players selected to First Team All-Region in addition to Kelley. Outfielder Lydia Zaruba posted a .383 batting average this year and had 49 hits, scoring 37 runs. Utility player Anna Woods was top 10 in the conference in three categories, including her 44 RBIs this season.
Rounding out the Blackhawks' First Team honorees are pitcher Araceli Rivas and catcher Jaimee Bolduc. Rivas had a 2.78 ERA and led the conference in strikeouts (177), strikeouts per game (9.65) and shutouts (7) with 15 complete games. Bolduc was sixth in the conference in both batting average (.414) and on-base percentage (.481), while defensively posting a .966 fielding percentage from behind the plate with 185 putouts on 208 chances.
Indian Hills had three players take home First Team All-Region honors. Designated player Cassie Benberg was fourth in the conference in three categories that caused pitchers issues: batting average (.431), on-base percentage (.504) and slugging percentage (.725). Infielder Chandler Houselog batted in 48 runs on 58 hits and on defense had 88 putouts and 86 assists in 191 chances. Outfielder Bailey Tegeler rounds out the First Team list after she was able to get on base consistently this season with the third-best on-base percentage (.506) in the conference, earning the most walks (33) of any ICCAC batter.
