2025 ICCAC Championship Event Info
Friday, Oct. 17 - Day One of the ICCAC Sports Shooting Championship will start on Friday, October 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the Stockdale Gun Club in Ackley, IA. Friday will feature both Trap and Doubles Trap disciplines. The Trap Conference Championship will be determined by the winner of a match up between Hawkeye, the East Division Champions, and Iowa Western, the West Division Champions.
Hawkeye has outscored their opponents by over 300 points this year and is looking to reclaim the conference championship after being denied a three-peat by Iowa Western last year. Iowa Western has been dominant this year, out scoring their opponents by nearly 500 targets in total and being the only team to score a perfect 500 in any competition. Both teams feature former ICCAC Athlete of the Week winners, Iowa Western's winner being Leo Brand (3x recipient), Clint Mumm, Karson Lea, Seth Hensel, Payton Kruse, and Abby Johnson. The RedTails will bring three recipients of their own including Cole Slabaugh (2x Recipient), Ethan Tlusty, and Gabby Wright. The award is given to the top shooter weekly.
The Doubles Trap discipline is in its inaugural year and will be fully up for grabs this Friday. All teams will compete in vying for the trophy.
Saturday, Oct. 18 - Day Two will start early at 8:00 a.m. on October 18th at the New Pioneer Clay Target Center in Waukee. It will feature the Skeet and Super Sporting disciplines. The Skeet discipline has been dominated by Iowa Western and Hawkeye since its start in the ICCAC in 2022. This year was no different, as the two teams won their respective divisions. However, all teams are eligble to win Skeet based on their day's performance. The two highest score this year in Skeet this season have come from Gavin Kuck of Iowa Western with a score of 99 and Cole Slabaugh from Hawkeye with a score of 97. These two are going to lead their teams in this rivalry, with Iowa Western having a bit of a chip on their shoulder after falling to Hawkeye last year.
The Super Shooting discipline will also be in its inaugural year this Saturday, and any team could come out on top.
Sunday, Oct. 19 - The final day of competition will be taking place at the New Pioneer Clay Target Center in Waukee, once again with another 8:00 A.M. start time. The final will determine the ICCAC Champion in the Sporting Clays and Doubles Skeet disciplines.
