ICCAC Spring Preview | Women's Golf
The 2025 season brings significant changes to NJCAA Women's Golf, as the Association introduces two divisions for the first time -- a Division I and Division II. From the ICCAC, two teams will compete in Division I, while six teams will battle it out in Division II.
Division I will feature the Iowa Western Reivers and the Indian Hills Warriors. The Reivers, who were runners-up in last year's District Championship, return without back-to-back District Champion Baylie Pyke, who was crowned individual champion. They will piece together new faces to build another successful season in Council Bluffs. Iowa Western finished 6th at the National Championship. This year, they'll look to build on that momentum.
Indian Hills enters its first year as a program and hopes to remain competitive after a strong fall season.
Division II will consist of six teams, with Iowa Central emerging as the early favorite to capture the District Championship, thanks to the return of several top golfers for the 2025 season -- one of those being Ivanna Beccera-Diaz.
Following Iowa Central in the preseason rankings are DMACC and NIACC. The Bears will lean heavily on their experienced sophomore class, while NIACC will showcase a promising group of freshmen ready to make an impact. NIACC's Meghan DeLong had a breakout fall and is one to keep an eye on throughout the spring.
The remaining teams in Division II include Hawkeye, Iowa Lakes, and Southeastern. Both Hawkeye and Iowa Lakes feature relatively young squads and will look to make strides this season. Southeastern, with just two players on the roster, aims to make individual improvements as it continues to rebuild the program.
The 2025 season promises exciting competition and new storylines as both divisions take shape.
