MASON CITY, Iowa - Wismit Moinius (So., Naples, FL), Juan Munoz (Fr., Phoenix, AZ), and Michael Guerrero (Fr., Eloy, AZ) all recorded pins to spark NIACC wrestling to a 42-10 win over the Waldorf JV in their first and only home dual of the year.

Munoz and Moinius then recorded back-to-back pins at 133 and 141 respectively. Munoz's match against Cesar Rojas lasted 1:47, while Moinius made quick work of Marcel Cook, pinning him in 1:01. The pins put NIACC up 18-0.
The 149 match went the distance, but ended in a 13-3 major decision for NIACC's Gibson Metellus (So., Miami, FL) over Pat Baruth.
Waldorf won the next couple of matches to close the gap to 22-10. Bryce Robbins took control of the 157 match against Brendan Young (Fr., St. Louis, MO), keeping Young on the mat for much of the match. Robbins ended up winning a 12-2 major decision. Chris Hunt recorded the Warrior's lone pin at 165 against Justin Head (So., Jewell, IA) at the 6:23 mark.
It was all NIACC the rest of the way. Jameel Bryant (So., St. Petersburg, FL) had eight takedowns in a 21-6 technical fall win over John Kenny at 174, and Basil Minto (Fr., Cape Coral, FL) won the 184 match by forfeit, making the lead 33-10 at that point.
