Witchita, KS: Coming off a hot game vs Barton, Iowa Western struggled to find the back of the net.
How It Happened: Following opening weekend, the Reivers took on a challenging squad in Rose State CC. The Raiders outshot the Reivers 11-3 in the first half but the score remained deadlocked at 0's going into the break. After making some adjustments coming out of halftime, the Reivers managed to outshoot the Raiders 8-2. The Raiders were the ones, ultimately, to find the back of the net in the 55th minute on a cross and runner beating her mark to the near post to touch it into the goal. They would strike again in the 69th minute when the Raiders jumped on a bad pass and managed to sneak it into the net.
Notes & Numbers: Iowa Western falls to 1-2-0. The Reivers look to bounce back vs Laramie County Community College tomorrow.
Quotes: Coach Adam Sanchez: "I thought we looked excellent in possesion and buildup. We were just lacking that final ball into the net. We took a couple steps forward in bringing out our game model and we are looking forward to our next challenge in Laramie County CC."
