2025 ICCAC Fall Preview | Volleyball
As the 2025 ICCAC volleyball season approaches, Region 11 once again stands as one of the most competitive leagues in the NJCAA. The conference features national contenders, battle-tested programs, and rising teams eager to push into postseason play.
In Division I, Indian Hills returns after a third consecutive top-10 national finish and another trip to the NJCAA National Tournament. Despite the departure of two All-Americans, the Warriors boast a strong sophomore core and an impact freshman class ready to keep the program among the nation's elite. Iowa Western bounced back to a 20-win season in 2024 and reached the Midwest District semifinals. With proven leaders returning and a roster known for its resilience, the Reivers look primed for another step forward.
In Division II, Kirkwood enters 2025 looking to build on last year's undefeated conference record and Region 11 Tournament title. The Eagles bring back an exciting blend of star power and depth, positioning them as a top contender once again. Iowa Central follows a 30-win season with a reloaded roster, blending experienced returners with a large, talented freshman group. DMACC has been a model of consistency in recent seasons and will again field a competitive, well-balanced team capable of challenging for the top.
Northeast, last year's Region 11 runner-up, has retooled with a mix of returners and new additions while keeping postseason ambitions high. Central, fresh off a district championship and national tournament berth, steps into ICCAC competition ready to test itself against one of the toughest leagues in the country. Southeastern returns an experienced core and adds promising newcomers in a bid to move higher in the standings.
Ellsworth continues to build on back-to-back winning seasons, returning much of its lineup and adding depth for another strong campaign. Western Iowa Tech, coming off its first Region 11 Tournament appearance, will rely on a young but motivated roster to keep its momentum going. Hawkeye adds a large recruiting class to complement key returners as it works toward rejoining the postseason mix. NIACC features a small but experienced group of returners ready to lead an influx of freshmen. Iowa Lakes looks to continue its program turnaround with several starters returning and strong additions to the roster.
Marshalltown enters the season aiming to build on its steady improvement, with an eye toward adding conference wins. Southwestern, in its second year under new leadership, has returning experience and offseason momentum as it looks to climb the standings.
With proven champions, perennial contenders, and ambitious programs on the rise, the 2025 ICCAC volleyball season is set to deliver high-level play from opening serve to championship point. The depth of talent and competitive spirit across Region 11 ensures that every matchup will matter in the race for postseason success.
